What should I do if I cannot access my account, or cannot login to my account?

What should I do if I am receiving an error message when trying to register my child?

If you are receiving an error message while trying to register your child, please refresh the browser, use a different web browser page, or use a different device.  If you receive an error message after your child’s class has been added to your cart, you will not lose your spot in the class if you refresh your browser, or use a different browser.  Once your child’s class has been added to your cart, you will have 48 hours to complete the checkout process.  

What age level should I register my child for if their birthday falls during a given session?

Participants are eligible to sign up for a class as long as they are turning the minimum age of that level by the time the session ends. For example, for a 6-year-old to be eligible for our Summer Session Age 7-9 classes they must turn 7 on or before August 16th.

No! Once you have logged into your account you will be able to choose the class of your choice for one of your children and add that to your cart, then proceed to choose a class for your second child and add that to your cart. Once you have added a class to your cart, that child’s spot will be held for up to 48 hours while you can select and add one or more other children’s classes to your cart. If you have not finished checkout and paid after 48 hours, your cart will be cleared and your child’s spot in that class will be vacated.  

How can I best navigate the registration page to find the class I am looking for? 

We recommend using the filter tools on the left hand side of the page to help navigate through the many classes we offer. We specifically recommend utilizing the location, participant, and day filters to find a class that best fits your schedule. 

How do I apply for financial assistance? 

First Tee Families can apply for financial assistance if needed. You will find an application for financial assistance in the checkout process while signing your child up.  You will not be charged for the items in your cart until your financial assistance application has been reviewed and approved by First Tee – Western New York staff. Thanks to countless donors and community support, we make it affordable so all children have the opportunity to join First Tee.

What if my child has other activities or we are on vacation for multiple weeks? 

We ask that prior to registering and committing your child to a certain class, you verify your calendar to ensure your child will be able to attend at least 80% of the classes he/she is signed up for. Due to a substantial increase in demand, it’s unfair for families to sign up and only attend a handful of classes when other families are eagerly waiting to get their child register and are committed to attending all classes.   Participants are not able to make up a missed class by attending another class of the same age level.

How can I receive a refund for my child’s registration if they can no longer participate? 

In order to be able to receive a refund for your child’s registration, you must email Seth Wilson, [email protected] no later than 14 days prior to the start of the session. Refunds requested within two weeks of the start of the session will NOT be refunded outside of extreme situations.

What should I do if the class I’m looking for doesn’t appear on the registration site? 

If the class you prefer does not appear on the registration site, it is either full, or does not meet the age requirements for your participant. If the class is full, please email Seth Wilson, [email protected] to be placed on the waitlist for that location and class.

If my child gets added to the waitlist, when will I be notified of openings?

Due to high demand of First Tee – WNY and junior golf programming in recent years, the waitlist ensures that families wishing to register are staying informed of any cancellations and additional openings. We do our absolute best to accommodate all waitlist requests and families will be notified on a first come, first serve basis as cancellations occur. You can be expected to be notified no later than the end of the first week of the session you are trying to  register for.

Can I register my children for the same class even if they do not both fall into the age group for that class? 

Unfortunately, no. Due to the nature of age based curriculum and teaching age specific content we do have to strictly keep with the ages for each age level and will not allow siblings in different age groups register for the same session. 

Makeup Policy:  

First Tee-WNY will not cancel class due to weather. If it is raining lightly, we ask that participants bring appropriate clothing to participate. If there is heavy rain and/or thunder & lightning, class will be moved indoors and will continue as scheduled with alternative activities.
